Being in the middle of pluribus had just made me appreciate this even more. This is everything pluribus should be in my (humble) opinion, in a fraction of the time (and budget). Both series playing with the conundrum of a eerily perfect human race where misunderstanding and pain no longer trouble our day to day. But at what cost? Where pluribus focuses mainly on the loss of individuality and personal expression, valid btw, plaything shows the other side of the story. This being the negative side to the 'treasured individuality', and how social anxiety is at an all time high due to extreme individualism and the rise in lack of social skills. Plaything demonstrates the transformation of such a bright individual yet lacking any social skills can become an absolutely admirable human being in understanding the core roots of humans insecurities and therefore the domino effect these have through their projections via endless interactions with others. Like a constant transfer of negative energy. This exact thing demonstrated through the character of the interrogating officer's lust for control and power in the interrogation room, perfectly demonstrating in this 47 minute black mirror episode a beautiful new way of perceiving the way in which the current world is moving in technology and mass data collection.
